러시아 최대의 국립 미술관인 예르미타시 미술관에서 칸디다 회퍼의 개인전<Candida Höfer. Memory>을 개최한다. 이번 전시는 “Hermitage 20/21” 프로젝트의 일환으로, 작가가 지난해 러시아의 건축물들을 촬영한 새로운 시리즈의 사진 25점을 최초로 공개한다. 작가는 상트페테르부르크와 그 외 지역에 위치한 마린스키 극장, 유스포프 궁전, 파블롭스크와 푸시킨에 위치한 궁전들, 러시아 국립도서관, 겨울궁전의 내부를 촬영, 기존에 탐구했던 공간과 환영의 심화된 연구를 보여주고자 한다. 뿐만 아니라 이를 통해 본래적인 건물이 가지고 있는 건축적인 디자인과 역사에 그녀만의 관점을 담고자 했다. 이번 전시는 오는 9월 27일까지 개최된다.
 
 
State Hermitage Museum, Russia presents solo exhibition of Candida Höfer, Candida Höfer: Memory. As part of the “Hermitage 20/21” project, this exhibition comprises of 25 photographs from the artist’s new series taken last year that documents Russian architecture. By photographing the interiors of the buildings located in St. Petersburg and its suburbs, such as the Mariinsky Theatre and Yusupov Palace theatre, the palaces of Pavlovsk and Pushkin, the Russian National Library, and the halls of the Winter Palace, the artist sought to show her deepened investigation of previously explored space and vision. In addition, she wanted to offer a unique perspective on architectural design and history inherent to a building. The exhibition is open until September 27^th.
