정연두는 지난 7월과 8월 프랑스 MAC/VAL 현대미술관 주최 레지던시 프로그램에 참여했다. 이번 전시는 레지던시 당시 제작된 신작 <D'ici et d'ailleurs>가 선보일 예정이다. 불어로 “이곳과 그곳 사이/Here in Elsewhere” 라는 의미를 지닌 이 작품은 1974년 파리 근교로 이주해온 베트남 이주민들의 삶에 대한 이야기를 바탕으로 30개의 인터뷰 중에서8명의 것을 선정하여 11겹으로 구성된 입체적 사진작업이다. 각 작품에는 소형 스피커가 장착되어 관람객들로 하여금 사진을 보는 동시에 소리를 들을 수 있도록 설치되었다. 이 전시는 2015년 10월 24일부터 개최된다.
 
Yeondoo Jung participated in a residency program at Musée d'art contemporain du Val de Marne in Paris last July and August. The artist will feature new work titled D'ici et d'ailleurs. Based on the history of Vietnamese immigrants in 1974, he selected 8 out of his 30 interviews on immigrants and produced this work composed of 11 different layers of photographic images that create depth and dimension in a flat two-dimensional image. Each work contains a small speaker which enables the audience to hear the interview while looking at the work. The exhibition will be open on October 24th, 2015.
