양혜규는 11월 7일부터 내년 2월 14일까지 미국 샌프란시스코에 위치한 Yerba Buena Center for the Arts(이하 YBCA)에서 개최되는 그룹전 <Office Space>에 참여한다. 21세기 탈공업경제 사회 내 산업구조가 서비스와 정보산업 중심으로 전환되고, 이에 따라 근무 환경이 변화하는 점에 주목하여, 이번 전시는 개발도상국가에서 증가하는 ‘비물질노동 (immaterial labor)’ 을 조명했다. <Office Space>에 참여하는 작가들은 비디오, 조각, 페인팅, 설치 작업을 통해 보편적인 오피스 건축, 디자인, 미학의 단면에 질문을 던진다. 이번 전시에서 양혜규는 “사무실 부두” 1점을 출품한다.

From November 7^th to February 14^th Haegue Yang participates in the group exhibition Office Space at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts (YBCA) in San Francisco. Focusing on the post-industrial economy of the 21^st century, the change of the industrial society to a service-oriented, information-based industry, and the subsequent change in working environments, this exhibition highlights the increase of ‘immaterial labor’ in developing countries. Participating artists question the surfaces of office architecture, design, and aesthetics through video, painting, and installation. Haegue Yang presents her work titled Office Voodoo.
