아니쉬 카푸어는 12월 17일부터 4월 17일까지 이탈리아 로마의 현대미술관 (MACRO)에서 개인전을 개최한다. 이탈리아 내 미술관에서는 10년만의 개인전으로 아니쉬 카푸어가 그간 선보여온 작업에서의 기술적이고 유기적 과정에서 나타나는 형식적, 개념적인 영역에 대한 연구를 집약한 전시이다. 이번 전시는 마리오 코도냐도 (Mario Codognato)의 기획하였으며, 아니쉬 카푸어의 대표적 페인팅과 붉은 색과 흰 색의 레진과 실리콘으로 제작된 부조, 그리고 지난 해 베르사이유 궁전에서 설치된 바 있는 <Sectional Body Preparing for Monadic Singularity>를 MACRO 공간에 맞게 재해석한 기념비적 조각 작품 등으로 구성한다.         

Anish Kapoor will hold a solo exhibition at Rome’s Museo d’Arte Contemporanea Roma (hereafter MACRO) from December 17, 2016 to April 17, 2017. This exhibition, Anish Kapoor’s first solo show in an Italian museum in ten years, will integrate the formal and conceptual investigations through the technical and organic processes of his work. Curated by Mario Codognato, this exhibition is characterized by a series of paintings and reliefs consisting of layers of red and white silicone. The exhibition will also feature monumental sculptures, such as Sectional Body Preparing for Monadic Singularity, which was exhibited in the park of the Versailles Palace last year, displayed in dialogue with the architecture of the museum.
