국제갤러리의 칸디다 회퍼는 2017년 1월 19일부터 4월 1일까지 버지니아폴리테크닉 주립대학교 (Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University)의 모스 아트센터 (Moss Arts Center)에서 개최하는 그룹전 에 참여한다. 이번 전시는 이미 설립된 공간을 변형시키는 작업을 통해 역사, 기억, 그리고 장소 등의 근본적인 주제를 다루는 7명의 작가들의 대형작품이 소개되어, 세계적인 거장들과 젊은 작가들의 사진, 회화, 그리고 장소 특정적 설치작업을 한 곳에서 관람할 수 있는 기회를 제공한다. 칸디다 회퍼는 도서실, 궁전 내부, 오페라 극장 등의 역사적인 유럽풍 인테리어 공간을 강렬하면서도 형상, 구조, 시각, 그리고 공간의 디테일까지 담아낸 대형 사진작업을 소개할 예정이다. 

Candida Höfer participates in Artists and Architecture: Projection/Convergence/Intersection, a group exhibition taking place January 19 to April 1 at the Moss Arts Center in Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. This exhibition features large-scale works by artists who engage architecture in their work by wildly reimagining of the built environment, while also addressing underlying issues of history, memory, and place. On view will be a selection of exemplary works by contemporary masters and emerging artists alike, spanning genres of photography, painting, and site-specific installation. Candida Höfer will introduce her large-scale photography that highlights the architectural grandeur of historic European interiors, such as libraries, palaces, opera houses, and theatres, vividly portrayed with exquisite detail in an exploration of form, structure, perception, and space.
