국제갤러리의 박찬경과 장미셸 오토니엘은 2017년 5월 30일부터 8월 15일까지 서울 시립미술관 서소문 본관에서 개최하는 까르띠에 현대미술재단 소장품전 <하이라이트> 에 참여한다. 이번 전시는 까르띠에 현대미술재단의 첫 번째 아시아 전시로 우리가 귀 기울이고 관심을 놓지 말아야 하는 다양한 주제들을 시각 예술의 형태와 언어를 빌어, 보다 높고 찬란하게 빛나는 예술의 존재 가치를 되새겨 보자는 메시지를 담고 있다. 이번 전시에서 박찬경은 친형인 영화감독 박찬욱과 '파킹찬스'(PARKing CHANce) 라는 프로젝트 팀을 이뤄 공동으로 제작한 신작 <격세지감>을 선보인다. 2000년에 개봉한 영화 <공동경비구역 JSA>를 위해 제작하였던 세트장을 3D로 촬영하고 영화의 사운드를 더한 작품이다. 이번 소장품 전에는 극단의 아름다움을 뽐내는 유리구슬을 소재로 인간의 내면과 정신세계를 표현하는 장미셸 오토니엘의 작품 <유니콘> 도 전시될 예정이다. 

Park Chan-kyong and Jean-Michel Othoniel participate in Highlights, an exhibition presented by Fondation Cartier pour l'art contemporain (hereafter Fondation Cartier) at the Seoul Museum of Art (hereafter SeMA) from May 20 through August 15, 2017. The first exhibition organized by Foundation Cartier in Asia, this showcase of the prestigious collection encourages the audience to reflect on the invaluable worth of art. The various thematic highlights of the exhibition borrow from the formal and linguistic capabilities of visual art. The collection will include a work Decades Apart, a new film by PARKing CHANce, a project team formed by Park Chan-kyong and his brother Park Chan-wook. This particular work features the audio and three-dimensional rendering of the set of Joint Security Area, a movie that was released in 2000. The exhibition will also include Jean-Michel Othoniel’s L’Unicorne (2003), a work composed of glass beads that serve as a metaphor to human psychology, along with the installation Paysage amoureux (1997) and smaller object works La Bouche d’ombre; La Pisseuse; le ciei invisible; l’Embusque; l’Etoile du soir (1992).
